The employer is hiring a Senior Platform Engineer for a contract role supporting a platform with a large user base.
The role focuses on designing and maintaining scalable infrastructure while ensuring high availability and system performance.
Compensation
- The payout is $40 to $100 per hour.
Workplace
- The role is remote and can be performed from anywhere.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable infrastructure components for a cloud-based platform.
- Optimize system performance, reliability, and security through monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Lead initiatives to improve platform scalability, availability, and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams on infrastructure changes and upgrades.
- Develop and enforce best practices for infrastructure management, deployment, and configuration.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Proficiency with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment strategies.
- Familiarity with Linux systems administration and shell scripting.
