Job Profile
Join the Core Platform team as a hands-on Platform Engineer.
Own the operational health of a multi-cloud data platform across AWS and GCP through provisioning, automation, monitoring, and security.
Databricks and ClickHouse familiarity is a strong advantage.
Infrastructure and Access
- Provision and maintain AWS and GCP infrastructure under governance standards.
- Manage workspaces, storage buckets, networking, and lifecycle configurations.
- Administer roles, permissions, IAM, SSO, and least-privilege access policies.
- Audit permissions against compliance requirements.
Automation and Reliability
- Build Infrastructure-as-Code pipelines for provisioning and policy enforcement.
- Maintain repeatable and auditable CI/CD workflows for configuration changes.
- Monitor cluster health, job status, and platform reliability.
- Resolve incidents and bottlenecks and define SLOs and observability dashboards.
Cost and Data Support
- Generate billing and cost reports and track allocation by team or project.
- Communicate cost trends and implement platform cost optimization opportunities.
- Manage data ingestion pipelines and source-system permissions.
- Support internal data consumers and collaborate on access and workflow issues.
Skills and Expertise Required
- 2–3 years of experience in platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, or data engineering.
- Hands-on AWS experience with S3, IAM, EC2, VPC, and CloudWatch.
- Working knowledge of GCP, including GCS, BigQuery, and GCP IAM.
- Experience with IAM concepts and SSO providers such as OneLogin, Okta, or Azure AD.
- Proficiency in Python, Bash, or similar scripting languages.
- Familiarity with Terraform, Pulumi, or similar Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
- Understanding of data governance and ability to communicate cloud cost trends clearly.
- Databricks and ClickHouse familiarity is advantageous.
