Role Overview
The Azure Platform Engineer designs, builds, and maintains internal developer platforms and reusable infrastructure services on Microsoft Azure.
The role is listed for Chennai, Hyderabad, and Bengaluru.
Platform Responsibilities
- Create self-service templates, deployment environments, and golden paths so developers can provision resources safely and quickly.
- Write and manage repeatable infrastructure using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
- Set up automated pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
- Enforce compliance, role-based access control, and network security using Azure Policy.
- Administer containerized workloads through Azure Kubernetes Service and Docker.
- Monitor system health and performance using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
Cloud and Infrastructure Skills
- Deep Azure knowledge across networking, compute, identity including Entra ID, and storage is needed.
- The role requires proficiency in PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD platforms is needed.
Certifications
- Popular credentials include Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate AZ-104, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, and Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
