Responsibilities
- Act as an infrastructure SME for a globally distributed, high frequency data platform that underpins real time analytics and trading insight
- Take ownership of performance, reliability, and scalability across the full infrastructure and data pipeline
- Work closely with engineering and trading technology teams on architecture, prioritisation, and continuous improvement
- Collaborate with central infrastructure functions to uplift standards across the estate
- Evaluate and onboard new cloud providers, drive best in class infrastructure practices, and optimise low latency performance
- Support the platform with a strong focus on automation and reducing manual intervention to ensure a highly resilient, scalable platform
Requirements
- Strong proficiency with CI/CD pipelines, including tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps
- Solid understanding of AWS and other cloud platforms (Azure, GCP), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation)
- Proven experience with cloud infrastructure automation (Terraform and Azure preferred)
- Strong understanding of AWS fundamentals, including core services, networking, security, and cloud infrastructure best practices in production environments
- Experience working with scripting languages such as Python, Java, or similar, with the ability to write, read, and maintain automation and operational tooling in production environments
