Plasma Cutter Operator - 3rd Shift

Operate CNC plasma cutting equipment to cut steel plate and structural materials according to production specifications.

Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, work orders, and cut lists.

Load, position, and secure steel materials on the plasma cutting table using overhead cranes or other material handling equipment.

Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to ensure quality cuts.

Inspect finished parts to verify dimensions and quality standards.

Perform routine machine setup, cleaning, and basic preventative maintenance.

Remove finished parts and stage materials for fabrication and welding.

Report equipment issues or quality concerns to supervisors.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

Follow all company safety policies and wear required PPE.

Work closely with production, fabrication, and welding teams to meet production goals.

High school diploma or GED preferred.

Previous experience operating CNC plasma cutting equipment, CNC machinery, or similar manufacturing equipment preferred.

Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools such as tape measures and squares.

Basic computer skills for operating machine controls and recording production information.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.

Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.
