Reporting to the Yard Manager, you'll be at the heart of our operations, ensuring materials are processed safely and efficiently while delivering outstanding customer service.
This is a varied role that combines customer interaction, equipment operation, and practical yard work, making it perfect for someone who enjoys staying active and getting stuck in.
Grading, sorting, and purchasing a range of scrap metals
Loading and unloading trucks, skip bins, and trailers
Assisting customers with enquiries and providing a positive service experience
Operating forklifts and other site machinery and equipment
Weighing, bagging, palletising, and preparing materials for transport and stocktake
Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe work environment
Following workplace health, safety, and environmental procedures at all times

A strong work ethic and positive, can-do attitude
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify and sort different materials
A willingness to learn and develop new skills
Previous experience in recycling, warehousing, labouring, manufacturing, construction, customer service, or a similar hands-on environment
Strong communication skills and a customer-focused mindset
Commitment to working safely and following procedures
Basic numeracy and computer skills
Reliability, initiative, and the ability to work effectively in a busy environment
Forklift Licence (highly regarded)
Previous experience operating machinery or working in recycling, waste, logistics, manufacturing, or resource recovery
