About the Role
Woodbridge seeks a Plant Manager to lead profitable management of multiple customers in a JIT manufacturing environment. The role involves directing a workforce, managing supply base, implementing continuous improvement, and collaborating with accounting.

Responsibilities
- Work with all functional areas to drive the business; understand plant metrics and business plan to meet all areas within the metrics.
- Serve as Lean Leader for the facility.
- Responsible for profitable management of multiple customers in a JIT manner maintaining world class quality and customer relationships in a safe manner.
- Lead and direct a workforce of hourly and salaried employees through a management team and manage the supply base while minimizing inventory.
- Work with customer/partner in developing manufacturing strategy, planning, cost reductions, and business planning.
- Employ best methods, VIEW, VAVE, TQM, and other management strategies to achieve goals and continuously improve systems, processes and develop staff.
- Implement and maintain continuous improvement process.
- Collaborate with accounting for financial analysis, budgeting & forecasting for the plant.
- Play an essential role in the health & safety and quality audit process.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or Commerce.
- Eight to ten years progressive related experience at a senior management level or equivalent combination.
- Strongly demonstrated general management skills including team building, JIT process based manufacturing, automotive industry experience, cost management, material/logistics, forecasting and planning, problem solving, conflict resolution, quality management, strong customer relationship background.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Knowledge of applicable legislation including Health and Safety & Environment and Employment, Industrial Relations, accounting principles and supply contract administration.
- In depth knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, 5S, Kaizen.
