Role Description

  • The Plant Engineer is responsible for ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operation of plant facilities and equipment at IGPS’s sites.
  • This is a full time, on site role based in Abu Dhabi, working closely with operations, maintenance, and HSE teams.
  • Day to day tasks include monitoring plant performance, diagnosing technical issues, coordinating maintenance activities, and optimizing processes to improve reliability and output.
  • The role involves reviewing technical data, preparing reports, supporting shutdown and turnaround planning, and implementing engineering solutions for plant modifications and upgrades.
  • The Plant Engineer also contributes to compliance with safety and environmental regulations and supports continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Strong skills in Plant Engineering, including design review, performance analysis, and implementation of technical solutions for oil and gas facilities.
  • Skills in Plant Maintenance and Troubleshooting, with experience in preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Skills in Plant Operations, including monitoring operating parameters, coordinating with control room personnel, and supporting start up and shutdown activities.
  • Knowledge of Power Generation systems, such as turbines, generators, and associated auxiliaries used in industrial and petrochemical plants.
  • Relevant engineering degree (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering) from an accredited institution.
  • Experience in oil and gas, petrochemical, or power plant environments, with familiarity with EPC project workflows and standards.
  • Working knowledge of industry codes and standards, safety and environmental regulations, and reliability engineering practices.
  • Proficiency in engineering and plant monitoring software, strong analytical skills, and clear technical communication in English.
  • Ability to work on site in Abu Dhabi, collaborate in multidisciplinary teams, and adapt to dynamic plant conditions and schedules.
