Planning Engineer - Civil

Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules with project and construction teams.
• Prepare baseline schedules, look-ahead programs, recovery schedules, and progress updates.
• Monitor progress, delays, critical activities, risks, and impacts on project completion.
• Collect progress information and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
• Coordinate with site engineers, project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
• Track manpower, materials, equipment, and resource requirements.
• Prepare progress measurements and support interim payment and quantity tracking.
• Assist with delay analysis, mitigation plans, recovery plans, and extension of time documentation.
• Review subcontractor schedules and monitor progress against approved programs.
• Maintain accurate project progress documentation and reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience as a Planning Engineer in civil construction.
• Strong experience in planning and scheduling building or civil construction projects.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 is required.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel and MS Project.
• Strong understanding of construction sequences, progress measurement, and scheduling.
• UAE or GCC construction experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of delay analysis and extension of time documentation is advantageous.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with project and site teams and meet deadlines.

Compensation

• Pay is AED 10,000–AED 15,000 per month.

• Work location is in person.
