Planner - Warehouse, Materials Inventory

To fulfil business objectives of supply chain management and to provide a high level of service to plant operations/production while maintaining optimum inventory of warehouse stock material, and Assisting supervisor whenever required.

Implement materials requirement planning and forecast process for strategic material, critical, major spares and consumables in order to sustain continuous production.

Lead MRP’s in planning the requirement and control of inventory values in their allocated commodities. Thus, reducing Non/slow moving materials.

Analyze the materials through various techniques, classify them with VED classification and criticality and adopt / follow various inventory optimization techniques and practices to ensure that the inventory holding is optimized.

Forecast material requirements based on MRP Run in ERP system & Recommend changes to inventory levels based on supply/demand analysis. Analyze inventory ROP/MAX levels (safety stock) for stock items

To do the technical evaluations for PR’s. Analyze requests from Purchase/Suppliers for change of specifications or replacement and obtain consent from the concerned end users & Enriching master data

Identification spare parts for interchangeability & Identifying Duplicate material with the collaboration with plant technical person. Development & continues improvement of MRP process & the use of ERP system

Ensure that all long lead-time items are monitored/reviewed/revised in order to efficiently sustain optimized inventory level.

Lead in standardizing by identifying alternative materials / brand / vendors that will provide operational savings for the Company.

Improve customer service, efficiency and reduce internal procurement time (lead time) by reducing blocked PRs, negative and zero stock items for materials allocated to the person and the team by regular follow-up / meetings.

Taking a lead role and co-ordinate with Maintenance Planning team to analyze, review and reduce non-moving, slow-moving and obsolescence.

Ensure the company practices and policies of safety, quality and environment are adhered to.

Creation and monitoring of KPI reports for material planning like zero stock / stock out for stock materials, PR to PO conversion report.

Replenishment of stock items by generating PR’s, monitoring critical & Shutdown PR’s and follow-up with Procurement for open PR to convert into POs /Expediters on all past due Purchase orders.

Good Knowledge in Warehousing, Materials / Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Excel and SAP.

Expertise in material requirement planning (MRP)

Strong understanding of inventory control techniques like JIT, Kanban and ABC Analysis.

Capability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet deadlines

A degree in supply chain management, logistics, engineering, or a related field

Minimum 05 years warehousing with extensive knowledge and experience on industrial inventory management, which as well includes a computerized inventory control system.
