Planner / Planning Engineer

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Build and manage project schedules, working interfaces, and stakeholder engagement.
• Maintain schedule baselines for contractual and performance metrics.
• Lead progress and performance meetings and workshops.
• Support Planning and Project Controls Managers with schedules and interfaces.
• Manage contract schedule requirements.
• Produce hierarchical reporting outputs including Earned Value Management reporting.
• Integrate schedule, cost, and risk functions.
• Evaluate critical paths and develop scenarios to mitigate issues and improve efficiency.
• Apply delay-analysis techniques.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in project management, engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• Experience as a Senior Planner in transportation, energy, defence, water, rail, or related projects.
• Knowledge of NEC contracts and their application in project management.
• Proficiency with project management software such as Primavera P6 or MS Project.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
