Purpose of the Role The Piping Supervisor is responsible for the safe and efficient execution of piping fabrication, installation, testing, and completion activities across the project.
The role will provide direct supervision and oversight of both the piping fabrication supplier and the construction contractor, ensuring all work is performed in accordance with project specifications, quality standards, schedules, and Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) requirements.
The Piping Supervisor will act as the primary field representative for piping construction activities, ensuring effective coordination between engineering, quality, fabrication, construction, commissioning and client teams.
The successful candidate will need to be open to working extended hours, backshift and nightshift, as per project requirements during busy periods.
Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Champion Technip Energies safety culture and ensure compliance with all site HSE policies and procedures.
Promote proactive safety leadership through site engagement, toolbox talks, and safety observations.
Ensure all works are executed in accordance with approved risk assessments, method statements and permit-to-work systems.
Identify and escalate safety concerns and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Participate in incident investigations and lessons learned activities where required.
Fabrication Supplier Supervision Monitor and supervise piping fabrication activities at supplier facilities.
Ensure fabrication is performed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, codes, and project quality requirements.
Verify progress against fabrication schedules and identify risks to delivery milestones.

Ensure piping erection, fit-up, welding, supports installation, hydrotesting and reinstatement activities comply with project requirements.
Monitor contractor productivity and performance against agreed schedules.
Coordinate interfaces with civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines.
Verify that construction work is carried out using approved procedures and construction work packs.
Support development and execution of construction plans, look-ahead schedules, and resource forecasts.
Monitor contractor compliance with site quality and safety requirements.
Quality Assurance & Quality Control Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project specifications.
Support inspection and test plan (ITP) implementation.
Participate in inspections, walkdowns, and punch-list management activities.
Drive timely closure of quality non-conformances and corrective actions.
Planning & Progress Monitoring Monitor progress against construction and fabrication schedules.
Identify potential delays and implement mitigation measures.
Provide accurate progress reporting to the Construction Management team.
Participate in daily coordination meetings, progress reviews, and contractor performance discussions.
Assist with planning of work fronts to support efficient project execution.
Required Qualifications and Experience Essential HNC, HND, apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
Significant experience supervising piping fabrication and construction activities on major EPC industrial projects.
within power generation, petrochemical, oil & gas, LNG, carbon capture, energy transition or process plant environments.
Strong knowledge of piping fabrication, installation, and testing requirements.
managing interfaces between fabrication suppliers and construction contractors.
Working knowledge of relevant industry codes and standards including ASME, EN, and applicable project specifications.
Demonstrable understanding of welding, NDT, hydrotesting, and mechanical completion processes.
Strong knowledge of construction quality management systems and inspection requirements.
CSCS card or equivalent site qualification.
Desirable Previous experience on carbon capture, energy transition, or large-scale power projects.
SSSTS or SMSTS certification.
IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH qualifications.
