Pipefitter

The Woodfibre LNG Project is located approximately 7 km west-southwest of Squamish, British Columbia.

It involves the construction and operation of a liquefied natural gas (LNG) export facility on the previous Woodfibre pulp mill site, which would have a storage capacity of 250,000 m3 and would produce approximately 2.1 million tons per year of LNG.

Woodfibre Management Ltd. is a privately held Canadian company based in Vancouver and a subsidiary of Pacific Energy Corporation Limited.

The Pipefitter is an integral part of Woodfibre LNG's dynamic team, reporting directly to the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor.

This hands-on position is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of piping systems at the WLNG Squamish site.

All work must be performed in strict compliance with applicable codes, standards, and safety regulations.

The successful applicant will:

• Prior to start-up of the plant, support the development of maintenance procedures
• Participate in plant walkdowns covering mechanical and piping scopes
• During Commissioning of the plant, review leak testing work packs and support the execution of field activities
• Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and specifications
• Measure and calculate pipe lengths, angles, and other specifications accurately
• Diagnose and resolve issues in piping systems, including leaks and pressure problems
• Support lifting and rigging piping and heavy materials
• Lay out, assemble, fabricate, maintain, and repair piping systems
• Cut, thread, bend, and weld pipes using various tools and equipment
• Blinding equipment to support repairs of systems
• Work closely with welders and Millwrights to complete installations
