Responsibilities

  • Blueprint Interpretation : Read and understand blueprints, schematics, and detailed drawings to determine the type, size, and layout of pipes needed.
  • Measurement & Cutting : Accurately measure, cut, and bend pipes to specified dimensions using hand and power tools.
  • System Installation : Assemble and install piping systems, ensuring they are aligned and properly supported.
  • Installing and working with PVC, Copper Pipe and Groove Pipe, and more
  • Laying out, Cutting, Assembling and/or Installing Pipe
  • Equipment Installation: Install related equipment such as valves, supports, hangers, and hydraulic systems.
  • System Testing : Test installed systems for leaks and other potential issues using pressure gauges and other testing equipment.
  • Safety Compliance : Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for oneself and colleagues.
  • Tool Maintenance : Maintain and clean tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
  • Collaboration : Work closely with other tradespeople, such as plumbers, welders, and electricians, to ensure seamless project completion.

Qualifications

  • Previous Pipefitting experience
  • Certifications or licenses are a plus
  • Self-motivated with excellent time management, organization, and task management abilities.
  • Proficient in clear and effective communication with various stakeholders, including general contractors, vendors, sub-trades, and in-house management.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing project needs.
