Role Overview
Perform physiotherapy duties in accordance with the organization's philosophy, business practices, policies, professional standards, and ethics.
Provide physiotherapy services as part of a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team.
Clinical Duties
- Work with patients to identify physical problems.
- Develop and review treatment programs.
- Assist patients with joint and spinal problems, especially following surgery.
- Support rehabilitation following accidents, injuries, and strokes.
- Write patient case notes and reports.
- Collect patient statistics.
- Educate patients and carers about preventing or improving conditions.
Team and Service Duties
- Supervise and instruct physiotherapy assistants and aides.
- Communicate with staff, health professionals, clients, and families about physiotherapy services.
- Participate in multidisciplinary rehabilitation team meetings.
- Contribute to education programs for residents, relatives, and staff.
- Participate in continuing education and courses that update physiotherapy techniques.
