Role Overview
Long-term, stable part-time peer review role supporting remote work.
The role focuses on reviewing academic manuscripts in the marine engineering subject area.
Required Qualifications
- Doctorate PhD or equivalent advanced degree in the subject area.
- At least five papers published in SCI or SSCI journals within the past three years.
- Thorough understanding of research methodologies and ethical principles.
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Strong written communication skills for clear, concise, and constructive feedback.
- Ability to adhere to deadlines and manage time effectively.
- Commitment to confidentiality and objectivity.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior academic journal peer-review experience is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with online manuscript submission and review systems.
Review Responsibilities
- Assess manuscript novelty and contribution of new knowledge or insights.
- Evaluate study design, methodology, clarity, completeness, and reproducibility.
- Check the use of relevant and current literature.
