Responsibilities
- Reporting to the Manager, Pharmacy, the Pharmacy Technician will be an integral member of the Pharmacy team and will be accountable for the technical aspects of drug distribution
- Work to ensure patient safety and for the accuracy, quality, integrity and timeliness of pharmaceutical product and release
Requirements
- Registration with the Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP) as a Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPHT)
- Graduate of a CCAPP Accredited Pharmacy Technician Education Program and within 6 months of registering with OCP
- Knowledge of inpatient pharmacy dispensing processes traditional and unit dose
- Knowledge of pharmacy automation including experience with unit dose packaging and automated dispensing cabinets preferred
- Demonstrated accuracy, organizational skills, problem solving and multi tasking skills
- Proven effective verbal and written communication
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Computer skills related to Microsoft Office including Word and Excel are preferred

- Shifts: Days and Weekends 8 Hour Shifts (Subject to Change)
- Wage Schedule: CAD 32.320 CAD 37.260 per hour

Conditions of Employment
- The terms and conditions of employment are in accordance with the Collective Agreement between the Hospital and OPSEU Local 348.
