Position Overview
The Pharmacy Assistant supports pharmacists with daily pharmacy operations, medication handling, inventory maintenance, and a safe patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in dispensing medications and preparing prescriptions.
- Receive, store, and organize pharmaceutical products according to established procedures.
- Monitor inventory, support stock replenishment, and check medication expiry dates.
- Maintain accurate records of medication supplies and transactions.
- Support compliance with healthcare regulations and hospital policies.
- Prepare medication orders for inpatient and outpatient services.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy area.
- Provide patient service and respond to inquiries under pharmacist supervision.
Requirements
- Diploma or certificate in pharmacy assistance, pharmacy technology, or a related healthcare field.
- Previous hospital or healthcare pharmacy experience is preferred.
