- Act as the technical authority (SME) for production engineering across the asset, guiding well performance, optimisation, and intervention decisions
- Lead artificial lift selection, design, optimisation, surveillance, and failure analysis across multiple lift methods
- Drive production optimisation using nodal analysis, well and surface network modelling, and integrated production system (IPM) studies
- Champion and advance digital oil field (DOF) capabilities — real time surveillance, exception based workflows, predictive analytics, and automated alerts
- Diagnose underperforming and problem wells, and recommend and justify interventions, stimulation, and optimisation opportunities
- Perform production forecasting, decline curve analysis, and well/reservoir performance evaluation; support reserves and development planning
- Define and improve production surveillance workflows, KPIs, and data quality standards
- Collaborate closely with reservoir engineering, facilities, operations, and data/IT teams to deliver integrated solutions
- Mentor and develop junior production engineers and promote best practices and standards
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering (Master's preferred) or closely related discipline
- 10+ years of production engineering experience with demonstrated SME level depth
- Recognised expertise in artificial lift across multiple lift types, including design, optimisation, and troubleshooting
- Strong production optimisation background, including nodal analysis and integrated production/network modelling
- Hands on experience with digital oil field concepts, real time surveillance, and production analytics
- Proficiency with industry software such as Petroleum Experts IPM (PROSPER, GAP, MBAL), SLB PIPESIM, OFM, and decline analysis tools

- Lead artificial lift selection, design, optimisation, surveillance, and failure analysis across multiple lift methods (ESP, gas lift, rod/beam pump, PCP, plunger lift).
- Drive production optimisation using nodal analysis, well and surface network modelling, and integrated production system (IPM) studies.
- Champion and advance digital oil field (DOF) capabilities — real time surveillance, exception based workflows, predictive analytics, and automated alerts.
- Diagnose underperforming and problem wells, and recommend and justify interventions, stimulation, and optimisation opportunities.
- Perform production forecasting, decline curve analysis, and well/reservoir performance evaluation; support reserves and development planning.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering (Master's preferred) or a closely related discipline.
- 10+ years of production engineering experience with demonstrated SME level depth.

- Strong production optimisation background, including nodal analysis and integrated production/network modelling.
- Hands on experience with digital oil field concepts, real time surveillance, and production analytics.
- Proficiency with industry software such as Petroleum Experts IPM (PROSPER, GAP, MBAL), SLB PIPESIM, OFM, and decline analysis tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience implementing or scaling digital oil field/smart field programmes and exception based surveillance.
- Familiarity with ESP design/monitoring and gas lift optimisation tools, and with production data platforms (SCADA, historians, production accounting such as AVEVA/Avocet).
- Exposure to data science/machine learning applications in production optimisation.
- Field/operations experience and multidisciplinary project leadership.
- Professional registration (e.g. P.Eng/Chartered Engineer) where applicable.
