The Permit Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating all permit-related activities for company projects in Qatar.
The role ensures timely acquisition, submission, tracking, renewal, and closure of permits through QPRO, SIS, MOI, Kahramaa, and other relevant authority systems.
The position plays a critical role in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and supporting smooth project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Initiate, prepare, submit, and follow up on permit applications through QPRO and other relevant authority platforms.
- Manage the complete lifecycle of SIS applications and Kahramaa submissions from initiation to final approval and closure.
- Coordinate with government authorities for permit approvals, inspections, and related requirements.
- Ensure all permits are renewed and updated within required timelines.
- Monitor permit status and ensure compliance with Qatar regulations and company procedures.
- Maintain accurate records, files, databases, and documentation related to permits, licenses, and inspections.
- Prepare and organize technical documents, drawings, and supporting paperwork for submissions.
- Act as the primary liaison between the company, contractors, consultants, and government authorities.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, site teams, and design departments for permit requirements.
- Support timely resolution of authority comments and permit-related issues.
- Coordinate inspections with relevant authorities and ensure site readiness.
- Manage permit-related payments, invoices, and fee submissions.
- Prepare periodic reports on permit status, approvals, delays, renewals, and compliance updates.
- Highlight risks, delays, or issues affecting project timelines.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in permit coordination or authority approvals in Qatar.
- Hands-on experience with QPRO, SIS, MOI, Kahramaa, and related authority systems.
- Strong knowledge of permit procedures and regulatory requirements in Qatar.
- Excellent coordination, communication, and follow-up skills.
- Strong documentation and organizational abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
