Job Details:
Performance Test Engineer capable of managing projects independently from planning through delivery. Expertise in performance testing, scripting, and application monitoring using tools such as JMeter, BlazeMeter, and AppDynamics. Proven ability to execute end-to-end performance testing, analyze system behavior, identify bottlenecks, and ensure application scalability and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Performance Test Strategy and Planning: Design and develop comprehensive performance test strategies and plans, including defining test scope, objectives, workload models, performance benchmarks, and success criteria.
- Scripting and Test Execution: Create, enhance, and maintain scalable performance test scripts using JMeter , leveraging custom Java coding for advanced test scenarios, integrations, and complex business workflows. Execute load, stress, spike, endurance, and scalability tests using JMeter and BlazeMeter .
- Performance Monitoring and Analysis: Utilize monitoring and observability tools such as AppDynamics to collect, analyze, and correlate performance metrics. Identify bottlenecks, conduct root cause analysis, and provide actionable insights to improve application performance.
- Cloud Infrastructure Monitoring: Monitor application performance and resource utilization across AWS and Azure environments. Analyze infrastructure-level metrics and identify cloud-related performance constraints impacting application reliability and scalability.
- Reporting and Recommendations: Generate detailed performance test reports, dashboards, and executive summaries. Present findings to stakeholders and provide practical recommendations to optimize application, database, and infrastructure performance.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Development, QA, DevOps, SRE, Product, and Operations teams to ensure performance requirements are defined, validated, and met throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
- Tool and Technology Expertise: Demonstrate strong hands-on experience with industry-standard performance testing and monitoring tools including JMeter, BlazeMeter, AppDynamics , and related observability platforms.
- Troubleshooting and Optimization: Investigate and resolve performance-related issues across application, middleware, database, and infrastructure layers. Recommend performance tuning and optimization strategies to improve system efficiency and user experience.
- Innovation and Emerging Technologies: Continuously evaluate, pilot, and recommend the adoption of the latest performance engineering, observability, and AI-powered testing tools to enhance test automation, performance analysis, anomaly detection, root cause identification, and overall engineering productivity.
