The Role

The People Advisor is part of the Global People Team and collaborates with Business and Regional People Partners to support talent strategy.

The role provides guidance on performance and employee relations matters and supports HR processes and initiatives across the Middle East and Asia Pacific.

The role requires proactive upward management and close partnership with People Partners.

Responsibilities

  • Advise employees and managers on HR policies and processes using legislative knowledge and best practice.
  • Collaborate on performance management, compensation planning, timelines, communications, completion tracking, and quality assurance.
  • Build stakeholder relationships and support team member and Talent Manager development through coaching and best-practice sharing.
  • Manage low- to medium-complexity employee relations cases with business stakeholders and the internal ER team.
  • Drive the annual People Engagement Survey and develop insights from survey results.
  • Conduct departing-employee follow-up interviews and analyse turnover data.
  • Identify improvements to policies, processes, and ways of working that enhance the employee experience.
  • Provide analytics to improve engagement, performance, and attrition.
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition, People Operations, Learning, and regional teams.
  • Support local learning and development, wellbeing, and culture-building initiatives.
  • Monitor regional trends, provide feedback, and identify potential HR risks.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of generalist HR experience in professional services or financial services.
  • Experience in matrix organisations with multiple lines of responsibility and reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of employment legislation across Middle Eastern and/or APAC markets.
  • Ability to work across multiple geographies and time zones.
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business management, psychology, or a related field is preferred.
  • Local CIPD qualification is highly regarded.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical, organisational, and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Integrity, discretion, proactive thinking, adaptability, risk awareness, and cultural agility.
