The Role
We are seeking an experienced
Pcb Manufacturing Manager
to lead printed circuit board manufacturing operations, process engineering, production performance, quality, equipment reliability, materials management, and continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise across PCB manufacturing processes, including multilayer board fabrication, drilling, imaging, lamination, plating, etching, solder mask, surface finishing, electrical testing, inspection, and final quality control.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement PCB manufacturing strategies aligned with production, quality, cost, delivery, and business objectives.
Manage end-to-end PCB fabrication operations across production lines and manufacturing areas.
Lead production planning, capacity management, scheduling, resource allocation, and daily manufacturing execution.

Manage manufacturing processes including material preparation, inner-layer imaging, etching, lamination, drilling, desmear, copper plating, imaging, solder mask, surface finishing, routing, electrical testing, inspection, and final packaging.
Support manufacturing of multilayer, high-density interconnect, flexible, rigid-flex, high-frequency, and other specialized PCB technologies where applicable.
Develop and maintain standardized manufacturing processes, work instructions, operating procedures, and process specifications.
Optimize critical process parameters to improve yield, reliability, throughput, and consistency.
Monitor process capability and establish statistical process-control programs.
Analyze production data to identify trends, defects, bottlenecks, and process variation.
Lead root-cause analysis for manufacturing defects, process failures, equipment issues, and recurring quality problems.
Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Coordinate engineering trials, pilot production, new product introduction, and process qualification.
Support design-for-manufacturing reviews and provide feedback on PCB designs, stack-ups, tolerances, materials, and manufacturing constraints.
Collaborate with PCB design and engineering teams to optimize manufacturability and production efficiency.
Review Gerber, ODB++, drill, stack-up, fabrication, and manufacturing documentation as required.
Establish manufacturing requirements for trace width, spacing, layer registration, hole quality, plating thickness, surface finish, solder mask, and dimensional accuracy.
Manage lamination processes including prepreg, core materials, press cycles, temperature, pressure, and curing parameters.
Manage mechanical drilling, laser drilling, routing, profiling, and related fabrication processes.
Oversee chemical processes including cleaning, etching, desmear, electroless copper, electroplating, and surface treatment.
Establish controls for chemical concentration, bath chemistry, contamination, temperature, and process stability.
Manage solder-mask application, imaging, curing, and inspection processes.
Oversee surface finishes such as HASL, ENIG, ENEPIG, OSP, immersion tin, immersion silver, or other applicable technologies.
Manage automated optical inspection, electrical testing, X-ray inspection, dimensional inspection, and other PCB quality-control processes.
Establish inspection plans and acceptance criteria for critical manufacturing stages.
Ensure PCB production meets applicable quality, reliability, environmental, and customer requirements.
Coordinate with Quality teams on nonconformances, customer complaints, corrective actions, and quality audits.
Manage production equipment, preventive maintenance, calibration, spare parts, and equipment reliability.
Monitor equipment availability, downtime, utilization, maintenance performance, and recurring failures.
Coordinate with Engineering and Maintenance teams on equipment upgrades, automation, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management.
Evaluate and implement manufacturing automation, robotics, machine vision, process monitoring, and digital manufacturing technologies.
Manage PCB raw materials including copper foil, laminates, prepreg, solder mask, chemicals, plating materials, inks, and surface-finish materials.
Coordinate with Procurement and Supply Chain teams to ensure timely availability of critical materials.
Monitor supplier quality, material consistency, lead times, pricing, and delivery performance.
Qualify new materials, suppliers, chemicals, equipment, and manufacturing processes.
Establish controls for material traceability, shelf life, storage, handling, and environmental conditions.
Develop technical training programs for production operators, engineers, technicians, and supervisors.
Promote strong manufacturing discipline, process compliance, safety awareness, and quality ownership.
Ensure appropriate handling of chemicals and hazardous materials in accordance with applicable safety and environmental requirements.
Monitor wastewater, chemical waste, emissions, and other environmental-control requirements associated with PCB manufacturing.
Establish production dashboards covering yield, throughput, cycle time, downtime, defects, quality, and delivery performance.
Manage manufacturing budgets, operating expenses, capital investments, and cost-reduction initiatives.
Evaluate equipment investments and manufacturing improvements based on capacity, productivity, quality, and return on investment.
Lead Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, TPM, and continuous-improvement initiatives.
Identify opportunities to reduce scrap, rework, chemical consumption, energy use, cycle time, and manufacturing costs.
Support facility expansion, production-line installation, relocation, and manufacturing-capacity projects.
Develop contingency plans for equipment failures, material shortages, utility interruptions, and production disruptions.
Maintain appropriate documentation for manufacturing processes, equipment, quality records, and production performance.
Provide management with regular reports covering production performance, quality, capacity, costs, risks, equipment reliability, and improvement initiatives.

Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate should have strong experience in
PCB manufacturing, printed circuit board fabrication, electronics manufacturing, process engineering, or advanced manufacturing operations
, preferably within high-volume, high-reliability, or technically complex production environments.
The candidate should demonstrate:
Strong knowledge of PCB manufacturing and fabrication processes.
Experience with multilayer PCB production and complex board technologies.
Understanding of PCB materials including copper foil, laminates, prepreg, solder mask, inks, and surface finishes.
Practical knowledge of imaging, etching, lamination, drilling, desmear, plating, solder mask, surface finishing, routing, and electrical testing.
Experience with HDI, flexible, rigid-flex, high-frequency, or other advanced PCB technologies is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of PCB quality standards, manufacturing specifications, and inspection requirements.
Experience using AOI, electrical test, X-ray, dimensional inspection, and other quality-control technologies.
Strong knowledge of process control, SPC, DOE, capability analysis, and statistical quality methods.
Experience with root-cause analysis, FMEA, corrective actions, and continuous improvement.
Strong equipment, maintenance, and manufacturing-engineering knowledge.
