Payroll Specialist-Auditor

DEPARTMENT: Auditor's Office

HOURS & DAYS OF WORK: Monday 8 - 5 p.m.; Tuesday - Friday 8 - 4 p.m.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: None

• JOB SUMMARY: Compiles, audits, and tabulates employee time sheets to ensure the production and distribution of bi-weekly payroll and prepares appropriate reports to comply with paying statutory and non-statutory deductions; the focus is on records maintenance, data entry, or other details of public record.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• High school graduate or equivalent with previous training in record keeping and data entry specialized training preferred • Ability to understand, memorize, retain and carry out written or oral instructions • Ability to perform basic arithmetic functions and follow written and verbal instructions • Excellent organizational, communication skills and a sound knowledge of office procedures and practices • Pre-employment background check
