Overview Manage end-to-end payroll processing and related compliance for employees in Qatar and regional locations, ensuring accurate, timely payment and adherence to local labor laws and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Process monthly payroll for employees (salary calculations, allowances, deductions, overtime, commissions, benefits).
- Maintain and reconcile payroll journals, tax withholdings, social contributions, end-of-service calculations and payroll accounts.
- Ensure compliance with Qatari labor law, tax regulations, and statutory payments (e.g., social security if applicable).
- Prepare payroll reports, payroll cost analyses, and month-end reconciliations for finance and HR.
- Manage payroll system configuration and maintenance (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, ADP, Bayt) and coordinate system upgrades.
- Handle payroll-related inquiries from employees and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Coordinate with HR on new hires, terminations, leaves, salary changes, visas, and work permits affecting payroll.
- Liaise with banks for salary transfers and with external auditors during audits.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and support year-end processes.
- Implement payroll process improvements and document SOPs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
- 3+ years payroll experience, preferably in Qatar or the GCC.
- Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and statutory requirements in Qatar (or regional experience).
- Experience with payroll software and MS Excel (formulas, pivot tables); ERP exposure preferred.
- Attention to detail, confidentiality, and strong numerical skills.
- Good communication skills in English; Arabic is an advantage.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in payroll or HR (e.g., CPP, CIPP, CIPD) or professional accounting qualification.
- Experience with multi-country payroll or expatriate payroll and end-of-service settlements.
- Familiarity with HRIS integrations and automated payroll processes.

Pay: QAR23.00 - QAR45.00 per hour
