Responsibilities
- Develop and implement payroll strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with organizational objectives and regulatory requirements
- Oversee end to end payroll operations, including payroll processing, salary calculations, deductions, overtime, bonuses, commissions, and final settlements
- Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing while maintaining compliance with labor laws, tax regulations, social insurance requirements, and company policies
- Manage payroll calendars, approvals, reconciliations, reporting, and month end payroll activities
- Collaborate with human resources, finance, accounting, legal, and business leaders to resolve payroll related matters and improve payroll processes
- Oversee payroll audits, internal controls, compliance reviews, and documentation to ensure payroll integrity and regulatory compliance
- Manage payroll systems, HRIS platforms, ERP integrations, and payroll automation initiatives to improve efficiency and accuracy
- Lead, mentor, and develop payroll team members while promoting operational excellence and customer focused service delivery
- Monitor payroll KPIs, processing accuracy, service levels, and process improvement opportunities
- Prepare payroll reports, workforce cost analyses, compliance reports, and strategic recommendations for senior leadership
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- Professional certifications such as CPP, FPC, CPA, ACCA, CIPD, or equivalent advantageous
- 5+ years of experience in payroll administration, payroll operations, finance, accounting, or human resources roles
- 2+ years of experience managing payroll teams, enterprise payroll functions, or payroll transformation initiatives preferred
- Strong understanding of payroll processing, labor legislation, tax regulations, payroll accounting, and compliance requirements
- Experience with payroll software, HRIS, ERP platforms, time and attendance systems, and advanced Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical, organizational, problem solving, and decision making skills
- Excellent communication, leadership, stakeholder management, and customer service abilities
- High attention to detail with ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment

The Role
