As the Payroll Lead, you will aid in our full cycle payroll process with a focus on the US.
This role will be responsible for the collection, organization, & maintenance of company hires, beginning with initiating and completing the new hire onboarding workflow.
They will be the first and main line of contact with retail stores & corporate employees, managing day-to-day payroll inquiries and functions, including processing promotions, terminations, and other personnel changes.
This role will lead US bi-weekly pre & post payroll processing, help maintain various internal and external vendors, auditing, invoice payments, year-end reporting, year-end tasks, and special projects.
This role will also provide back-up support for Canadian payroll processing.
Manage workflow & processing of bi-weekly Payroll
New hire Onboarding
Communication with retail stores pertaining to employee onboarding – pulling from email and follow up on outstanding issues
Launch onboarding, follow up & finalize process in ADP
Creating and maintaining digital employee file folders
New hire data entry into HRIS & Payroll system
Maintaining accurate data integrity
Actioning & organizing employee promotions, transfers, & general updates
Process employment status changes for US population
Process terminations in system – keeping in compliance with final pay states
Aiding in various payroll reconciling & preview processes, including ADP data audits, to ensure payroll is processed accurately and timely
Focus on SOPs & process - creating new & elevating current Payroll/HR processes
Maintain US tax & payroll compliance within our 25+ US states
Provide excellent customer service experience daily to all levels of internal & external customers

Maintain, update & format Excel Payroll Reports on a daily, weekly, bi-weekly bases.

Exposure to Canadian Payroll is strongly recommended but not required
ADP Workforce Now, or similar Payroll system experience
Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to comfortably communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail & ability to multitask
Must be able to handle confidential & sensitive information professionally and discreetly.
Strong time management, analytical & problem-solving skills
A commitment to providing outstanding customer service
Program experience required: MS Excel, Word, Outlook
Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize tasks & maintain high integrity & business ethics
