Role Overview
Lead the organization's end-to-end payment operations, controls, banking relationships, reconciliations, settlements, exceptions, and operational performance.
Work with Finance, Treasury, Accounting, Banking, Risk, Compliance, Fraud, Technology, Product, Operations, Customer Service, and external providers.
Payments Strategy and Governance
- Develop the payments strategy and establish payment policies, procedures, controls, operating standards, and approval frameworks.
- Evaluate channel performance, improve efficiency and scalability, and maintain payment governance documentation.
Payment Operations
- Manage daily processing across bank transfers, cards, direct debits, electronic payments, digital wallets, gateways, settlements, refunds, and adjustments.
- Monitor payment queues, resolve operational exceptions, and ensure transactions are processed accurately and on time.
- Oversee outbound and inbound payments, approvals, payment cut-off times, failed transactions, unapplied cash, and unidentified receipts.
