Responsibilities
- Develop accurate first patterns for men's garments based on sketches, measurements, and design specifications
- Create, modify, and grade patterns for production
- Ensure excellent garment fit, balance, and construction
- Work closely with designers, sample tailors, and production teams to achieve high quality samples
- Conduct fittings and implement necessary pattern corrections
- Prepare production ready patterns while maintaining quality and consistency
- Optimize fabric utilization and minimize production wastage
- Maintain pattern records and technical documentation
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Pattern Master in men's wear
- Strong knowledge of formalwear, suits, shirts, trousers, jackets, traditional wear, and contemporary men's fashion
- Proficiency in manual pattern making
- Excellent understanding of garment construction, fitting, grading, and production techniques
- Ability to interpret design sketches and convert them into production ready patterns
- Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail
- Experience with CAD pattern software is an advantage
- Knowledge of basic women's wear pattern making is a plus
