Job Summary

  • The Patient Care Coordinator coordinates the patient's healthcare journey from appointment booking through treatment completion and follow up.
  • Ensures a seamless patient experience while maintaining full compliance with DHA, SHA, MOHAP, and UAE healthcare regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate patient appointments, consultations, diagnostic investigations, treatments, and follow up visits.
  • Guide patients throughout their treatment journey while ensuring a positive patient experience.
  • Coordinate referrals to specialists, hospitals, laboratories, and radiology centers.
  • Ensure continuity of care by maintaining communication between all healthcare providers.
  • Monitor pending investigations, referrals, and treatment plans.
  • Register patients accurately in the EMR system.
  • Verify patient identity and demographic information.
  • Maintain complete, accurate, and confidential patient records.
  • Ensure documentation complies with DHA/SHA standards and facility policies.
  • Verify insurance eligibility and benefits.
  • Obtain pre authorizations for consultations, procedures, investigations, and surgeries.
  • Coordinate with insurance companies regarding approvals and claim requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Healthcare Administration, Hospital Administration, Nursing, Allied Health, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a healthcare facility within the UAE.
  • Experience in DHA, SHA, or MOHAP licensed healthcare facilities preferred.
  • Knowledge of UAE insurance procedures and pre authorization processes.
  • Experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
