Role Description
Full-time, on-site Pastry Commis/DCDP role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Supports daily pastry and bakery production in a professional kitchen environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare doughs, batters, fillings, and dessert components according to standardized recipes.
- Assist with dessert plating and presentation while maintaining consistent product quality.
- Organize mise en place, manage stock rotation, and minimize waste with the kitchen team.
- Follow instructions from senior chefs and contribute creative ideas.
- Keep the pastry section clean, orderly, and efficient.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in bakery and baking with hands-on pastry production experience.
- Creativity for dessert design, flavor combinations, and visual presentation.
- Commitment to hygiene and food safety regulations and internal standards.
- Basic cooking knowledge for broader kitchen support when needed.
- Professional kitchen or pastry environment experience is required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume setting with attention to detail and consistency.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and time-management skills, with reliability for shifts, weekends, and peak hours.
- Culinary or pastry-related certification or diploma is preferred but not mandatory.
