Responsibilities
- Supervise pastry service from various kitchens throughout the resort
- Ensure all dishes leaving pastry sections are presented correctly and taste excellent
- Train and develop personnel within the pastry section
- Ensure effective communication within the kitchen brigade
- Order all food items in a cost conscious and timely manner
- Standardize recipes and ensure photographs of each item
- Ensure all goods are stored correctly and hygienically per HACCP
- Adhere to cleaning schedules and maintain high hygiene standards
Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar role is essential
- A genuine passion for food
- Qualification in culinary arts or similar is desired
- Extensive knowledge of good food handling, food standards, and presentation
- Experience in HACCP maintenance
