Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and produce a variety of pastries, baked goods, and desserts for hotel outlets, events, and room service
- Organize the pastry section, ensure recipes are followed, maintain product consistency and presentation
- Oversee mise en place, monitor food quality, storage, and hygiene
- Adhere to safety and sanitation standards
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and seasonal offerings
- Train and guide junior kitchen staff
- Manage inventory for pastry ingredients
- Coordinate with other departments to meet service timelines
Requirements
- Strong Bakery and Baking skills, with experience in pastries, desserts, and artisanal baked goods
- Solid Food Preparation and Cooking skills, including mise en place, portioning, and plating
- Advanced Culinary Skills, with knowledge of pastry techniques, flavor pairing, and menu development
- Relevant professional kitchen experience in hotels, restaurants, or patisseries
- Formal culinary or pastry education, certification, or apprenticeship is an advantage
- Strong awareness of food safety, hygiene standards, and HACCP principles
- Ability to work flexible shifts, manage time effectively, and perform under pressure
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with a diverse culinary team
