Job Summary

  • Seeking a skilled and creative Pastry Chef with strong expertise in cakes and breads

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and produce a variety of cakes, breads, and baked products according to established recipes and quality standards
  • Design, decorate, and finish cakes for retail, custom orders, and special occasions
  • Develop and maintain consistent bread production, including artisan and specialty breads
  • Ensure proper preparation, baking, storage, and presentation of all pastry and bakery items
  • Assist in creating new menu items, seasonal offerings, and product innovations
  • Maintain inventory levels and coordinate ordering of ingredients and supplies
  • Monitor food quality, freshness, and compliance with food safety and hygiene standards
  • Train and guide junior pastry staff and bakery assistants when required
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment
  • Support production of chocolates, French pastries, and desserts as needed

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Pastry Chef, Baker, or similar role
  • Strong expertise in cake production, decoration, and bread making
  • Knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and pastry production processes
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced environment while maintaining quality standards
  • Understanding food safety, sanitation, and HACCP principles
  • Strong attention to detail, creativity, and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in chocolate making, tempering, and confectionery products
  • Knowledge of French pastries such as croissants, éclairs, mille feuille, and viennoiserie
  • Experience in preparing plated desserts and dessert presentations
  • Culinary or Pastry Arts certification is a plus
