• Experience conducting basic fitness assessments and developing safe exercise programs.
• Experience providing excellent customer service in a fitness, recreation, or wellness setting.
• Experience assisting with fitness center operations, wellness programs, or group exercise classes is preferred.
• Ability to work with individuals of varying fitness levels while providing a safe, encouraging, and professional exercise environment.
• Experience educating participants on proper equipment use, exercise safety, and healthy lifestyle practices.
• Experience maintaining a clean, organized, and safe fitness facility and reporting equipment concerns.

Must possess at least one of the following certifications: ACE, ACTION, AAPTE, ACSM, CSCS, Cooper Institute, NASM, NCSF, NCCPT, NESTA, NETA, NFPT, NSCA, ISSA.

Tasks require the ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work, but which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of light weight (5-10 pounds). Tasks may involve extended periods of time at a keyboard or work station. Sensory Requirements Some tasks require the ability to perceive and discriminate colors or shades of colors, sounds, depth, and visual cues or signals. Some tasks require the ability to communicate orally. Environmental Factors Performance of essential functions may require exposure to adverse environmental conditions, such as dirt, dust, pollen, odors, wetness, humidity, rain, fumes, hazardous materials, fire, unsafe structures, heights, confined spaces, machinery, electric currents, toxic agents, animal/wildlife attacks, animal/human bites, water hazards, violence, disease, or rude/irate customers.
