Summary The Patient Service Representative is responsible for the patient check-in process, updating computer patient personal information and insurance information, handling a multi-line phone system, medical records filing and maintenance, and collection of co-pays and cash payments.

• Performs opening and closing clinic duties
• Greets patients, checks in for appointments and verifies insurance
• Scans documents into electronic health record
• Maintains tidiness of waiting area and reception counter throughout the day
• Checks schedules for added, canceled and no-show appointments throughout the day
• Schedules follow up appointments as needed
• Responds to designated tasks in the electronic health record
• Orders clinic office supplies
• Sells and tracks cosmetic products
• Distributes mail
• Prepares for next day scheduled appointments
