Position Summary

  • Supports Marriott International's lodging business across EMEA by providing practical, solutions focused legal support for hotel operations and asset management.
  • Based in Dubai, sits within the EMEA Law Department and reports to the Vice President & Senior Legal Counsel.
  • Acts as key point of contact for hotel leadership and above property teams.

Operational Legal Support

  • Serve as principal point of contact for hotel managers and operational teams seeking legal support.
  • Support day to day legal needs of managed hotels, franchise support organisation, and above property disciplines.
  • Monitor and respond to legal enquiries via email and online portals.
  • Draft, review, negotiate, and amend operational agreements including vendor, procurement, IT, sales, marketing, sponsorship, influencer, partnership, F&B, spa, fitness, loyalty, group sales, airline, and travel agency agreements.
  • Review documents for compliance with Marriott's standard contractual requirements.
  • Prepare and manage internal corporate approvals and coordinate execution of agreements.
  • Draft renewal, non renewal and termination correspondence, and assist with amendments to management and franchise agreements.
  • Support asset management attorneys on acquisitions, financings and dispositions.
  • Conduct and summarise legal research.
  • Instruct and manage external legal counsel.
  • Draft and respond to legal correspondence, memoranda and internal audit enquiries.
  • Maintain and update internal legal databases and precedent resources.

Candidate Profile

  • Relevant university degree or equivalent professional experience with demonstrable experience supporting transactional or general corporate legal work.
  • Experience supporting complex, high volume legal workstreams in a fast paced corporate environment.
  • Exposure to commercial, operational or asset related agreements within a multinational organisation is highly desirable.
  • Strong project management skills with ability to prioritise, multitask and meet competing deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Clear, concise drafting skills with strong attention to detail and sound judgement.
  • Proactive, collaborative working style with ability to operate independently.
  • High degree of professionalism, discretion and integrity.
  • Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal English language skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Teams and legal workflow tools.
