The Painter is responsible for first class workmanship in the preparation of metal materials and the application of high-quality lasting finishes on Badger manufactured products.
Hour rates based on experience with many opportunities for pay increases and career advancement!
What You'Ll Be Doing
- Application of paint to Badger manufactured products (e.g. Hydrovac equipment).
- Follows quality control process by completing inspections for any flaws in between application of coats.
- Conducts preventative maintenance of paint spray equipment and daily inspections of work equipment.
- Prepares metal components to be painted and ensures the proper disposal of leftover materials as per legislative requirements.
- Trains and guides employees in the operation, cleaning, and maintenance of painting tools and equipment as well as the mixing and application of primers and high-performance coatings to metal surfaces, fabricated parts, assemblies, and structures to obtain desired color and consistency.
What You'Ll Need For Success
- Education high school diploma or GED.
- Minimum 6 months of hands-on experience as a manufacturing spray painter required.
- Must be able to carry and move equipment and/or supplies more than 25 pounds.
- Must be able to distinguish colors.
- Sandblaster experience preferred.
