Position Summary

Apply paint, stain, and other finishes to hotel property walls, ceilings, and furniture.

Prepare surfaces, remove old finishes, protect surrounding areas, and maintain painting tools and equipment.

The position is full time, non-management, and not remotely located.

Painting and Maintenance Duties

  • Apply primers or sealers and finish coats using brushes, spray guns, or rollers.
  • Remove old finishes by stripping, sanding, wire brushing, burning, or using water or abrasive blasting.
  • Cover surfaces for protection during painting and post appropriate paint signs.
  • Clean up and store paint, tools, and equipment in appropriate areas.
  • Coordinate with vendors to modify paint, stain, or varnish colors.

Safety, Service, and Physical Duties

  • Follow company, safety, and security policies and procedures and complete safety training and certifications.
  • Report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, and injuries.
  • Welcome and acknowledge guests, anticipate service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and provide genuine appreciation.
  • Perform bending, twisting, pulling, stooping, ladder work, and overhead reaching.
  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A technical, trade, or vocational school degree is preferred.
  • At least 1 year of related work experience is preferred.
  • No supervisory experience is required.
  • No license or certification is specified.
