Paint Support

Primary Purpose:

Assists in the production of powder-coated components for the assembly of finished goods.

Job Description:

Unboxes components from storage containers

Loads and unloads parts or product onto fixtures

Assists the Painter, as needed, in the operation of blasting and coating equipment

Performs visual inspections to ensure that all components are produced/coated efficiently, and are consistent with company established goals for quality and productivity

Performs cleaning and maintenance services to paint equipment/booth according to recommended specifications

Safely operates paint equipment, hand tools and measuring tools, such as micrometers and calipers

Assists in other areas of operation, as needed, to provide support during absences or shortages of staff

Qualifications:

Physical strength and stamina

Strong attention to detail

Self-motivated and able to work independently

Mechanical and technical skills; adept in the use of hand tools and paint equipment

Safety management mindset and a focus on quality control

Ability to follow instructions; work with and relate to diverse groups

Able to handle working on and completing projects within tight deadlines while maintaining professionalism

Education/Certification:

High school diploma or GED preferred

1 year of Powder coating experience desired but not required

Previous work experience in a production environment a plus

Bi-lingual Spanish a plus

Other Duties as Assigned:

Other duties could include working in other areas to provide support during absences/shortage of staff.

Working Conditions:

Position requires extensive walking, standing and/or climbing; lifting and carrying, stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching. Must be able to move or transfer products with an overhead crane and lift up to 50 lbs. Work will be performed around machinery with moving parts, moving objects or vehicles; exposure to heat, cold, dampness, humidity, slippery and uneven surfaces. Follow and adhere to all company safety policies and regulations.
