PACT Supervisor

• MHP required, master’s degree in nursing, social work, psychiatric rehabilitation, or psychology preferred. Licensed in the State of Washington as a LMHC, LMFT, or LICSW preferred
• Has strong clinical skills and experience providing treatment to persons with severe and persistent mental illnesses. Three years’ experience in diagnostic screening and assessment or care of individuals of psychotic disorders, and expertise in working with individuals with schizophrenia-spectrum disorders, and their families, utilizing empirically-based psychotherapies such as CBT for psychosis (CBTp) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) preferred.
• Have a clear understanding of the characteristics and problems of adults with severe and persistent mental illnesses and be knowledgeable about the ACT model.
• Qualified Approved Supervisor for training in chemical dependency and/or mental health preferred, but not required.
• Has skills and competence to establish supportive trusting relationships with persons with SMI. Respect for client rights and personal preferences in treatment, are essential.
• Valid Driver’s license for the state of Washington.

The incumbent provides agency based services to patients in seeking treatment.

Strong communication skills, sound judgment, and creativity are required to help implement and deliver support services that meet the complex needs of the patients.

Contacts are with members of the treatment team, patients, significant others of the patients, administrative, supervisory and clerical personnel, employers, representatives of various community agencies specializing in the treatment of chemical abuse, related community representatives including lawyers, parole officers, and other court officials. All personal contacts are carried out in accordance with federal and state statues, laws and regulations dealing with the confidentiality of alcohol and drug dependent client records.

While performing the essential functions of the job, the employee is regularly required to sit, speak clearly, hear and use hands and fingers to manipulate writing utensils and keys on a keyboard.

The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands or arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or lift and/or move maximum of 15 lbs.

Working hours are spent indoors in offices or meeting rooms or in the community meeting with patients in their homes or health clinics.

Occasional supervision of outdoor activities, visits to community agencies, and participation in staff retreats and staff development activities may be required.
