Location: Murarrie, Brisbane, Australia
The Packaging Technologist plays a key role in supporting the development and delivery of customer-relevant solutions across ANZ. This role works across RD&A, Operations, and Commercial teams to ensure packaging solutions are fit-for-purpose, cost-effective, compliant, and scalable. The role is responsible for leading packaging inputs across product development, optimisation, and customer projects—balancing strong technical outcomes with speed, practicality, and commercial impact.
Key responsibilities
- Lead packaging workstreams across new product development and reformulation projects
- Identify and recommend packaging solutions aligned to product, shelf life, and customer requirements
- Partner with Commercial and Account teams to support customer briefs and presentations
- Translate customer requirements into clear, practical packaging specifications
- Support factory trials, validation, and implementation of packaging solutions
- Ensure packaging designs are suitable for manufacturing, supply chain, and scale-up
- Maintain compliance with regulatory, food safety, and customer-specific requirements
- Develop and maintain accurate packaging specifications and documentation
- Support cost optimisation initiatives through material selection and design improvements
- Contribute to sustainability goals, including reduction of packaging waste and improved recyclability
