Packaging / Production / Machine Operator - 2nd Shift

• High School diploma or GED is preferred
• Prior experience working in a food manufacturing facility preferred, but not required
• Able to work with and around cleaning chemicals and perform all sanitation duties
• Demonstrated reliable attendance record and ability to comply with attendance policy; Understands punctuality is key
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to work safely around/with automated and semi-automated machinery
• Must be able to work safely around food allergens such as tree nuts, peanuts, dairy, and soy
• Ability to routinely lift, up to 50 pounds
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and verbal communication in English is required to ensure comprehension of CGMPS (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) and accurate completion of production documentation related to food safety and traceability, for compliance to food safety laws and regulations governed by US agencies (FDA, USDA/FSIS).

• Stand, bend, reach, and kneel, for extended periods frequently.
• Standing for 8-10 hours.
• Walk up and down stairs frequently.
• Ability to routinely lift, up to 50 pounds.
• Wear proper PPE (personal protective equipment) provided by the company.

• While performing the duties of this job, you will work near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment can be high and employees may be required to wear personal protective equipment. This is an indoor food manufacturing setting.
• Exposure to food production areas, cleaning chemicals, and varying temperatures (both hot and cold).
• This position is based out of the Sahale Snacks facility in Tukwila, WA.

Regular working hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:00pm to 6:30am , with weekday or weekend overtime as needed.

The starting rate is $23.00 per hour plus additional $2.00 per hour night shift differential , potential additional compensation based on relevant work experience.
