Position Overview
Freight Team Associates stock merchandise, organize the sales floor, and provide customer service as required by customer demand.
The role includes picking and carefully packing orders, labelling them accurately, and placing them in specified holding areas.
Merchandise Handling
- Stock merchandise onto shelves to achieve full product availability.
- Pack out and pack down merchandise as directed.
- Merchandise new items and promotions.
- Maintain aisle cleanliness and shoppability so merchandise remains accessible and visually appealing.
- Maintain and organize overhead merchandise areas.
- Communicate with freight team members to ensure products are stocked in the proper areas.
Customer Service and Safety
- Follow the customer service model of greeting, engaging, and thanking customers.
- Ask open-ended questions about customer projects when required to determine needs and expertise.
- Move freight safely from staging areas to overheads and bring merchandise down using appropriate equipment.
- Keep aisles safe and accessible for customers.
- Follow all safety and loss prevention policies and procedures.
