CARIAN is seeking an experienced Overhead Construction Supervisor to support overhead utility construction activities throughout New Jersey.
This role will provide field supervision and oversight for overhead transmission and distribution construction, maintenance, and contractor work. The Overhead Construction Supervisor will coordinate daily field activities, monitor contractor performance, verify work completion, support outage and operations coordination, and help ensure work is performed safely and in accordance with utility standards, construction specifications, procedures, and applicable requirements.
The ideal candidate has strong overhead line construction experience, practical field judgment, knowledge of utility work methods, and the ability to work effectively with contractors, general foremen, operations teams, project managers, and utility stakeholders in a live field environment.

15+ years of overhead utility construction, maintenance, operations, or line construction experience.
Experience with electric utility clients and utility contractor oversight.
Experience with 13kV work rules, rubber glove and sleeves procedures, and overhead line safety practices.
Experience supporting outage requests, outage coordination, field switching coordination, or related utility work processes.
Experience with 69kV and below construction and work methods.
Experience working with Division Operations, general foremen, construction crews, project managers, and utility stakeholders.
Experience performing incident documentation, field investigations, and safety-related reporting.
Prior experience as an overhead construction supervisor, line supervisor, general foreman, line foreman, construction inspector, field supervisor, or owner’s representative.
OSHA 30 preferred.
