Ovation Support Engineer

Installing and configuring client computer systems.

Responding to client IT support requests.

Basic Knowledge of the deployment of Hyper-V, VMware ESXi, and vCenter.

Good knowledge of Switches, routers, and Networking will be an advantage.

Deployment of Windows Server on VMware on a regular basis.

New Server-grade hardware installation in the datacenter.

Daily monitoring of Datacenter hardware.

Remote assistance to in-house engineers to diagnose software, networking, or hardware issues.

Providing technical support on-site or via remote-access systems.

Offering solutions that meet the needs of the client.

Repairing hardware malfunctions, software issues, and networking problems.

Providing training to the in-house engineers.

Call logging with Vendors.

Inventory management.

Maintaining good client relations.

Tracking and managing work records.

Compiling job reports.

You pursue everything with energy, drive and the need to finish.

You deliver messages in a clear, compelling and concise manner and actively listens and checks for understanding.

You lay out a detailed schedule and steps for achieving objectives and use landmarks to track and handle the progress of the work.

Bachelor’s degree in information technology or computer science.

2 years of experience in computer hardware and networking.

Skilled in liaising with vendors and subcontractors.

Proven work experience as a technical support engineer.

Knowledge of computer hardware and networking systems.

Good time management skills.

Good interpersonal skills.

Ability to troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues.

Good written and verbal communication skills.

Should be ready to travel at short notice.

Ability to think critically.
