Outside Sales Representative

Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Schedule appointments and visit existing customers to review product needs and identify additional opportunities.
• Provide product quotes and open new customer accounts.
• Organize and attend joint sales calls with vendors.
• Keep customers informed about product changes, modifications, and new releases.
• Provide solutions to customer problems and coordinate service, pricing, and product launch updates.
• Attend applicable trade shows and conferences.
• Prepare marketing and sales reports and maintain expense accounts.
• Maintain customer accounts and contact information for future sales.
• Attend training and departmental meetings to stay current on products, services, procedures, and tools.

Requirements

• High School Diploma is required.
• 1–3 years of related experience is required.
• Post-secondary courses in sales and/or marketing are an asset.
• Product knowledge or industry experience is an asset.
