Responsibilities
- Deliver all outdoor activity and development programme activities under supervision
- Use Course Directors Handbook to deliver allocated programmes and create relevant course materials
- Assist Senior Outdoor Development Trainers with generic and site specific risk assessments, including site visits
- Assist Facilities Manager with stores tasks: issue and receipt of equipment, drying and cleanliness, selecting and purchasing new equipment, and quarterly safety inspections
- Provide efficient briefing to Outdoor Programmes Manager on completion of internal projects
- Undertake all other tasks as reasonably required
- Organise and schedule holidays in agreement with Outdoor Programmes Manager
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues
- Observe and promote equal opportunities and customer care

Role Overview
- The Outdoor Development Trainer will contribute to the smooth and efficient running of the company by providing support to the outdoor department.
- This includes delivery of outdoor activity and developmental programmes, design and development of programmes, office based tasks, sales delivery, stores and equipment management.
- To ensure that all standards for quality, accuracy and responsiveness in the company’s policies, procedures and customer care practices are met.
Qualification & Experience
- National governing body Mountain Leader, Kayak Coach inland & Sea, Climbing leader, Mountain bike leader & 1st Aid
- Minimum of 3 years teaching experience leading groups in the outdoors including development training and technical instruction.
