- Onsite – U.S. Department of State (Washington, DC) Clearance Requirement: Active Secret Clearance (Top Secret eligibility required) Work Schedule: Hybrid – 4x days onsite. 1 remote
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Engineer to support the U.S. Department of State in modernizing and maintaining secure, scalable cloud environments. The OCI Engineer will play a key role in designing, implementing, and optimizing cloud solutions while ensuring compliance with federal security requirements. This is a fully onsite role requiring an active Secret clearance with Top Secret eligibility .
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services, including compute, networking, storage, and database solutions
- Configure and maintain Virtual Cloud Networks (VCNs), subnets, gateways, and load balancers to support mission-critical applications
- Implement cloud security best practices in alignment with federal compliance frameworks (NIST, FISMA, FedRAMP)
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) scripts using Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools
- Monitor system performance, optimize cost, and ensure high availability within OCI environments
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex OCI-related issues, providing escalation support when needed
