Responsibilities
- The Network Infrastructure Optics NMS Technical Support team provides front-line support for NOKIA's Fiber Transmission Network Management platform serving telecom carriers and MSO high-speed transport infrastructure. Working directly with customers in addition to investigative work behind the scenes using NOKIA's labs and available operational and functional knowledge base. As part of the team, you will:
- Contribute to server and virtual machine deployments.
- Testbed design and setup using a combination of simulators and real equipment.
- Prepare demos and proof of concept configurations.
- Gain exposure to end-to-end optical networking architectures.
- Learn how networks are managed in terms of operations, administration, maintenance, and provisioning.

Qualifications
- You must have:
- Knowledge of Server Hardware, HP Unix, and Red Hat Linux
- Knowledge of Virtual Machines
- Good communication skills and a desire to learn
- It would be nice if you also had:
- General knowledge of scripting languages like Python, Bash/Shell, etc.
- General knowledge of Optical and IP networking
- Ability to test, diagnose, and troubleshoot technical issues
